Carmela Ciavarella

Overview
Carmela is part of the workforce development team and delivers vocational education and training (VET). The training is national accredited units of competency, from the Alcohol and Other Drugs skill set to the AOD workforce.
Background
Carmela has a degree with honours in Sociology and has been working within the mental health sector for over 10 years. She has worked in a variety of mental health services including adolescent, adult and psycho-geriatric inpatient units. She has worked within the community/ residential services supporting people to recover and engage in independent living. She has experience working as a trainer and assessor within the VET sector.
Carmela enjoys bringing her knowledge, skills and recovery-oriented approach to her training sessions. She also has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
