Senior Lecturer (Education Focused) Addictive Behaviours, Turning Point and Monash University

Overview

Kirsten is the course coordinator for the graduate programs in Addictive Behaviours, which are three fully online courses that are offered in partnership with Monash University and Turning Point. The Graduate Certificate of Addictive Behaviours is a one-year part time course. Students can also undertake the Graduate Diploma of Addictive Behaviours which is a two-your part time course. The Expert Master course has two entry levels; level 1 is a three-year part time course and level 2 is a two-year part-time course which has employment and minimum Postgraduate requirements associated with acceptance.

Background

Kirsten is an experienced educator with experience in course educational design and development. Kirsten is an experienced innovator in education and authentic assessment and is a team recipient of the 2019 Dean’s Award and the 2019 Vice Chancellors Award for an innovative case-based learning program.

Kirsten holds a PhD in Environmental Biotechnology, Master in Business Administration, Bachelor of Applied Science and Graduate Certificate in Higher Education.

Kirsten’s interest areas are in program development and implementation focusing primarily on student engagement and work-readiness.
