Overview

Mietta is a researcher in the Clinical and Social Research Team who is involved on various projects related to cognitive bias modification, addictions, minor drug convictions, and treatment for alcohol and tobacco use in vulnerable populations.

Background

Mietta completed a Bachelor of Psychology (with Honours) at Monash University. In her Honours research, conducted at the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health, she examined the relationship between parenting stress and attention difficulties among children with ADHD.

Mietta has previously worked as a Research Assistant at Monash University. She assisted on a project examining the feasibility of a social robot for delivering a psychoeducational program about Anxiety to children.

Mietta has also previously interned on a research project at Monash University during her undergraduate studies. She assisted on a project examining the feasibility of a voice assistant for delivering a psychoeducational program to parents and their children. She has a second author publication relating to this project.

Mietta also has experience working with children and people with disability.
