Bella Anderson
Education and Training Officer, Workforce Development, Turning Point
Overview
Bella came to Turning Point with extensive experience in the AOD and MH fields. Working within the Workforce Development Team, she is responsible for delivering skills-based training for professionals interested in learning how to best respond to people experiencing the impact of alcohol and other drug use.
Background
Bella is a Registered Nurse (Mental Health), She also has a:
- Post Grad Dip (Advanced Clinical Skills) MH,
- Advanced Dip Community Studies (AOD)
- Assoc Degree Professional Writing and Editing
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment
Bella has worked as manager and senior clinician in a range of programs including AOD assessment and triage, hospital liaison, substance withdrawal, AOD short-term and long-term residential rehabilitation, including youth and women-specific services, and as an AOD staff supervisor and client counsellor; she was also the principle educator for the Victorian Dual Diagnosis Initiative (VDDI). In the MH sector, she was employed in inpatient, forensic and community care services, a First Episode Psychosis (FEP) team and as a nurse educator. An experienced project officer, she completed a range of education and related projects for the VDDI and DHHS
