Phoebe Spry-Bailey
Senior Education and Training Officer, Workforce development, Turning Point
Overview
For the past 10 years, Phoebe's role at Turning Point has been providing education to the alcohol and other drug (AOD) workforce. This includes developing content and delivering interactive competency based training in class and in online environments.
Phoebe has been a unit coordinator and taught in both the Turning Point Post Graduate Program and Monash University's Master of Addictive Behaviours.
Background
Phoebe has a background in Nursing and in 2010 completed Graduate Diploma in Nursing Science (Addiction & Mental Health), University of Adelaide In 2019 Phoebe updated her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116).
Phoebe has over 25 years’ extensive clinical experience in the AOD sector, working in assessment, pharmacotherapy, counselling and non residential withdrawal services.
Research interests
Phoebe is dedicated to providing relevant and practical evidence based information to students and appreciates learning from each participant’s own experience and expertise.
